Exhibition at Phoenix Gallery, Deakin
Phoenix Gallery Activation
This year, I’m excited to start a nice little initiative at Deakin’s Phoenix Gallery in Burwood. The space, which normally sits empty around student assessments, now has a great little evolving exhibition on display. Gus and I will be doing an ongoing curation of some fantastic contemporary photography moving forward.
So far, we have some work from Chris Round, Erin Lee and less Fenwick on display for students and public to enjoy. We have a series of other fantastic artists involved which will be shown throughout the year. I’ve loved putting some energy into bringing this space to life and will be overseeing some major upgrades to the space in the coming years to make it a state-of-the-art, mixed-media space.
Gus and I had a great time printing the work in our Digital Print Lab and we had a few healthy disagreements as to how best install the large-format, adhesive paper stock we are using.
The gallery is open to the public during business hours at Deakin University, Burwood.
